Do THEY KNOW ITS CHRISTMAS TIME
rudolph the red rose reindeer
We are learning lots of Christmas songs and here is my favorite song, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. Here are the lyrics!
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer had a very shiny red nose and
if you ever saw him you wood even say it glows like a light ball.
All of the other reindeer used to call him name big nose.
They never let poor Rudolph play in any reindeer games.
Then one foggy Christmas Eve Santa came to say
"Rudolph with your nose so bright will you guide my sleigh to night."
Then all of the other Reindeer used to sing with Rudolph you l be down in history.

Wood quay venue PERFORMANCE 7.3.17
On Tuesday the 7th March we held a concert of Literature, the Arts and Music at Wood Quay Venue in City Hall. Each class performed a song, poem or piece of literature. We had a fantastic day! Some of the guests invited were Paul Stapleton (Chairperson of Ashoka), Dublin City Council employees, Catherine Duffy (Chairperson of A&L Goodbody) and our friends from CBC Monkstown.
The actor Seamus Moran came to speak at our event and he read a poem written by 5th Class. You can read below and on our poetry page.
Welcome listeners one and all
To this wonderful Viking hall.
We’ve songs to sing and poems to say.
On this our first St. Literacy Day.
Our motto is read, lead succeed
This can be seen from our Twitter feed.
Words and books are our everyday joy
As good as any other toy.
We’ll keep our x-boxes and PS3s
But hold a place along with these.
For Horrid Henry, the Twits and Potter
For the Boy in a Dress and the Hobbit.
So let’s bring to life that read, lead, succeed
Through Shakespeare, Kipling and Yeats indeed.
And show the world of near and of far
That Franner’s love of the word is simply…. ‘Thar barr’

“Sky Full of Stars” le Coldplay
Faoi na soilse,
Ag lonradh thuas os mo chionn
Tá mé ag tairiscint mo chroí
Faoi na soilse,
Ag lonradh thuas os mo chionn
Tá sí ar tosach na slí
Tá mé soar
Ach is léir nach bhfuil tú
Do mo stróiceadh ‘tá tú
Sé faoi na soilse,
Ag lonradh thuas os mo chionn
Go bhfeicfidh mé thú
Tá mé soar
Ach is léir nach bhfuil tú
Do mo stróiceadh ‘tá tú
Sé faoi na soilse,
Ag lonradh thuas os mo chionn
Go bhfeicfidh mé thú
Go bhfeicfidh mé thú
Mar is geal
Mar is geal do ghrá
Mar is réalta thú
Is fíor gur réalta thú
Is fíor gur réalta thú
Faoi na soilse,
Ag lonradh thuas os mo chionn
Tá mé ag tairiscint mo chroí
Faoi na soilse,
Ag lonradh thuas os mo chionn
Tá sí ar tosach na slí
Tá mé soar
Ach is léir nach bhfuil tú
Do mo stróiceadh ‘tá tú
